Belated Battle Report - Imperial Guard Reports Harmonious New Years Success

Captain Tewl of Lazy Company, the 869th Cadian Timeservers, part of the Toxo IV defence force, reported overwhelming success on the defence lines against yet another attack which ocurred on New Years Day and involved military forces who at first appeared to be servants of the Chaos God Nurgle, but were in fact over-active teenagers wearing green who had consumed too much "Toxo Special" the night before.

Renegade forces cower in their trenches - they should have stayed there...

Intervention of a Ravenwing Space Marine force proved completely unnecessary, but at least sped up the destruction of the fake Chaos forces, which included bogus Terminators, "Chaos Space Marines" wearing armour made of cardboard and showing no sign of the endurance typically conferred to the followers of Nurgle, a Chaos dreadnought which appeared in hindsight to be a green erector set with mud stuck on it, a "Predator" and a couple of "Rhinos".

Imperial Guard troops sit tight and take pot shots at the Renegades, chewing up vehicles and troops

All imposters were destroyed at minimal loss for the heroic Imperial force. There was, however, no sign of the fake "Typhus" persona who had been causing false alarms in the sector last year.

Mike F's Space Marines roll out to kick the enemy while they were down

Thanks again to Dallas for hosting a New Years game, not to mention forgetting about the cheesy special rules that apply to Nurgle Marines! Mike F's Marines looked great, and so did Dallas' renegades (at least until Mike and Cam blew them away). Hopefully Dallas can add a couple of more pictures - the slaughter of the "Nurgle" side being so complete that were barely able to capture images of them...

After Action Report - Secret Agent "Lands" Successfully

One of the top secret OSS pilots in action last night

Last night Kevin H, Brian, Bill and myself successfully fought a "Check Your Six" mission where Kevin's pilot, an OSS secret agent, was succesfully inserted into Nazi Germany using the ruse of getting shotdown in a dogfight. Dallas, Cam and Dave, playing the pilots of a top German protection squadron escorting an experimental Luftwaffe aircraft, were the unwitting dupes to our brilliant ploy.

Using brilliant advanced flying tactics, Brian, Bill and I were able to leave Kevin isolated on one part of the board, so Cam could "shoot down" Kevin. Of course, by counting on Cam, we were taking a big risk, and it was close run thing, as Cam, despite being armed with two cannons and two heavy MGs, did nearly no damage to Kevin's plane through an initial round of firing.

The Luftwaffe side, convinced the dogfight was legitimate and that it was critical to "protect" the Luftwaffe prototype that would have zero outcome on the war, didn't suspect a thing!

We were awesomely successful in the end. We also managed to avoid shooting down any of the Luftwaffe pilots, who would have suspected something when they bailed out and landed close to Kevin....

Hobgoblin Contingent Reports Overwhelming Victory for Hobgoblin Contingent

Tower of Zharr Naggrund, The Dark Lands - The Hobgoblin contingent of Slave Captain Lord Bzaark the Mean won an overwhelming victory over far superior numbers of Imperial troops, Lieutenant Gnashrak of the Hobgoblin contingent's Wolfrider regiment reported yesterday.

"We met a su-per-i-or force of mounted Pistoliers and put the hurt on them big-time. We really wrecked they shit. I mean it wasn't even close," Gnashrak said.

"After we bum-rushed those clowns we pursued them until not one Pistolier was left alive," he continued. "Hell, we rolled up on a Great Cannon and scared those dudes so bad they blew they own shit up! I talked to my brother Kashnak, he a gunner in the bolt-thrower battery, and he said they totally dominated the knights they was shooting at, too."

"Word," reported Kashnak when contacted for comment. "We aced those d-bags, two regiments worth of heavy knights. When you come for the bolt-throwers, come heavy, or don't come at all, know I'm sayin'?"

The Hobgoblin contingent was part of the raiding force commanded by Slave Captain Lord Bzaark that had left the Tower of Zharr Naggrund three months earlier on an extended slave-taking mission.

Neither Bzaark himself, his second-in-command, Lieutenant Mazalam of the 43rd Bull Centaur Regiment, nor any other Chaos Dwarf troops of his raiding party were available for comment at press time.
