They may be since the photo only shows the error, there is no good way of suggesting a fix.

As for flight stands, we all use different methods, I often have found that models with flight stands just get in the way of how I would do it.

In general I prefer a smaller miniature as a flying model with the figures scale model built in the landed form.Evyn MacDudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10335262875398073211noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7369363918074860264.post-73516880377012049832012-10-15T15:15:45.459-05:002012-10-15T15:15:45.459-05:00Eh, I'd just make a replacement fin out of pla...Eh, I'd just make a replacement fin out of plastic card. It's just a fin. But I'm not surprised there were fit issues, the KM blog post about the Doe basically admitted that the metal and resin parts would need to be fiddled with to fit together, due to different mold shrinkage. Hmm, why not take that into account when designing them?Allison M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08362700513221195102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7369363918074860264.post-34098495786833439292012-10-15T14:39:33.971-05:002012-10-15T14:39:33.971-05:00Maybe email Jon and ask for a replacement piece. I am a firm believer in getting what I pay for. Just my two cents. The issue is the joining piece - it's not even close to the right size.

Am very surprised to be encountering these kind of issues with Khurasan, as oppoed to Forgeworld, or GW "Finecast". Khurasan quality is typically top of the line. Is it a result of the booms being out of true or something else that's not correctable?

If the latter, I'd suggest making a part out of plasticard to fit. Not as pretty but would get the job done.Dallashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08816655312205569168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7369363918074860264.post-42483286841188538112012-10-15T05:46:08.019-05:002012-10-15T05:46:08.019-05:00I don't know how much the DOE weighs, but I ju...I don't know how much the DOE weighs, but I just glue my magnets to flying bases for my smaller and plastic models.A-Historianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10380376544300664923noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7369363918074860264.post-27067834261455329242012-10-15T01:54:31.527-05:002012-10-15T01:54:31.527-05:00I have one of these sitting in a bag waiting assem...I have one of these sitting in a bag waiting assembly....I weep! The Angry Lurkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01227314379603418332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7369363918074860264.post-88209666843034685952012-10-15T01:17:15.518-05:002012-10-15T01:17:15.518-05:00Apparently bent/warped resin is not uncommon. The suggested method is hot tap water to heat up and then gently bend to proper alignment.

I have not done this myself, but here is a thread discussing the issue.

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/371174.pagedavebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07531919635590898334noreply@blogger.com
